WHEN ARE BUILDING PERMITS NECESSARY?

Building permits are not always necessary, but when they are, you don’t want to get caught performing work without permits. A “stop order” will cost you time and money. On smaller jobs the contractor usually gets permits for you. However, when an Architect, designer and/or engineer is involved they are usually the ones to get it done. SKSI will advise which may be the best way for you.

DESIGN REVIEW

Design review sets the tone for the entire project. Design review is necessary on some additions, new home construction, and in deed restricted communities with home owner’s associations. SKSI is skilled at design review presentations and can present on your behalf.

RELATIONSHIP WITH THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT

Building departments are the lifeblood of your project. One mistake in any stage may cause unfavorable bias in all phases of your project. Again, costing time and money. SKSI has the experience to avoid such delays and problems. Our humble approach is the simplest strategy when dealing with government employed workers that have no interest in helping your dreams come true.
