WHEN ARE BUILDING PERMITS NECESSARY?
Building permits are not always necessary, but when they are, you don’t want to get caught performing work without permits. A “stop order” will cost you time and money. On smaller jobs the contractor usually gets permits for you. However, when an Architect, designer and/or engineer is involved they are usually the ones to get it done. SKSI will advise which may be the best way for you.
